EBELE OKARO ONYIUKE, is known in the entertainment industry as EBELE OKARO. she is not just an actor but a family woman, movie producer, enterpreneur, educationist and a philanthropist.

She attended Santa Maria Primary school, Enugu and proceeded to Queen of the Holy Rosary secondary school in Nsukka, Enugu State, where she obtained her West African Examination school certificate .

On completion of her secondary education, she proceeded to Anambra College of Education where she studied education. On graduation , she proceeded to the University of Calabar where she obtained her BA in Theatre Arts.

After graduating from the University, she moved to Lagos where she did her Youth Service (NYSC) at NTA channel 10.

ACTING CAREER

Ebele's acting career started quite early, right from home, where she got all the encouragement and love she needed to stay focused in her dream world of acting. This act continued through her primary education to date. Acting is a talent that God has blessed her with, her ability to interprete several roles has earned her a place in Nollywood .

At NTA where she served as a corper, she took part in a couple of drama productions, where she played both lead and sub lead roles. She was part of a popular soap called Moving Fingers, Third Eye and a couple of others. She has also featured in over 200 outstanding Nollywood Movies and soaps such as; Hostages, Eziza, Who will tell the president, Musical Whispers, Reflections a Soap, Warriors Heart, Faces on Fire, 4-1 Love, What lies Within, Chetanna, Thorns of Fire, Egg of Life, Living in Bondage; The Sequel..Breaking Free, Bambitious, Black Rose, The Chronicles of Blizzard, Broken Reed and a host of others.

In the course of her acting career, EBELE has been nominated as well as won several awards for her outstanding performance as an actress. A couple of them are listed below;

  • Best supporting actress in REEL AWARDS in the early 90's.
  • Best Supporting Actress Zafa Awards for the indigenous movie titled Chetanna.
  • Best Supporting Actress 2018 , AMVCA for the movie, 4-1 Love.
  • Best Actress Zafa Awards 2018 for the movie, Broken Reed.
  • Globalambassador Merit Award 2017, most supportive woman of the year
  • BON Award 2019, Best Supporting Actress, in English Movies
  • Diamond Actress Award presented by D'CEM AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE in December, 2020
