Omoni Oboli is a producer and director, actress and scriptwriter.
She is a multilingual French Language Graduate from the university of Benin who has produced and directed several groundbreaking Nollywood movies including LOVE IS WAR, MOMS AT WAR and the WIVES ON STRIKE movies.
She has also starred and written already released feature films:
BEING MRS ELLIOTT (2014); THE FIRST LADY (2015); WIVES ON STRIKE (2016), OKAFOR'S LAW (2017); WIVES ON STRIKE 2 (2017); MOMS AT WAR (2018); LOVE IS WAR (2019)
Her movie, OKAFOR'S LAW, was part of the official selection for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Stockholm International Film Festival in 2016.
In 2015, her movie THE FIRST LADY, won audience choice awards at the Nollywood Week Film Festival Paris.
She won Sisterhood Award Film and TV Director of the Year at the Ebony Life Tv sisterhood awards for her movie OKAFOR'S LAW. Producer of the year for WIVES ON STRIKE at the 2017 Awesome Treasure Foundation award.
She is an ambassador of the "Share Her Journey" program at the Toronto International Film Festival. She is also the founder of Omoni Oboli Foundation which is an NGO for the less privileged women and children in the society. Omoni Oboli is a 2018 Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellow
