Ijeoma Onah is a distinguished Film and TV industry executive with over 15 years of experience in aggregation, acquisitions, and distribution of local and international Film and TV programming across various platforms and territories. She has pioneered significant inroads for the African TV and Film industry by fostering international confidence in Africa as an emerging market. Her efforts in organizing professional B2B events in Africa, Europe, and North America have enhanced African participation at global events, driving business and revenue through rights licensing. She has been instrumental in mobilizing Nigeria’s Film and TV industry for major international markets, enabling producers, distributors, and broadcasters to gain critical experience and exposure. She bridges gaps locally and globally, offering guidance and advisory roles in the Film and TV business. With an extensive international network spanning Nigeria, Anglophone and Francophone sub-Saharan Africa, and beyond, she is a sought-after conference speaker and moderator, renowned for her deep industry expertise.

As the Founder of the Nigerian International Film Summit (NIFS) and Nigerian International TV Summit (NITV), She hosts annual B2B networking events in Paris, Los Angeles (at American Film Market), Lagos, London (at London Film Festival), Cannes (at Cannes Film Festival), and Toronto (at Toronto International Film Festival). These summits facilitate engaging discussions within Nigeria’s Film and TV ecosystem.

She served as Director of Content Partnerships and Strategy for Nigeria’s startup streaming services and later as CEO and Chief Content Officer of SuperTV, a Nigerian tech startup offering video-on-demand streaming with innovative zero-data technology on the MTN Network, until 2023. That year, she was appointed Vice-President of Creative and Cultural Industries at the Canadians Council on Africa. Currently, she is the Programs Director of the Africa Hub at the Toronto International Film Festival and a board member of the School of Media and Communications at Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) in Lagos.

Gboyega Akosile

Mr. Gboyega Akosile is a seasoned journalist, theatre practitioner, public relations expert, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in journalism, media, and strategic communication. He currently serves as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a position he assumed on 13th March 2024. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Akosile served as Chief Press Secretary to Governor Sanwo-Olu from 2019 to 2024, having earlier been Deputy Chief Press Secretary during the Governor’s first term. He also served as Media Adviser to the Governor during the 2019 governorship campaign and at the swearing-in for a second term in 2023. In the last six years, he has led media and perception management for the Sanwo-Olu administration in alignment with the State Government’s THEMES+ development agenda. His responsibilities include the day-to-day dissemination of information on the Governor’s activities and strategic collaboration with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to promote Lagos State Government initiatives. Mr. Akosile’s media career spans reputable organizations including Minaj Broadcasting International, where he was Head of Reportorial Desk, Lagos Television, Channels Television, and Cool FM 96.9. He has also served as news consultant to SuperScreen Television and DBN Television, where he supervised news operations and editorial planning. An entrepreneur, he founded Bridgeworld Communications Company in 2009 and served as its CEO for a decade before his call to public service. Through Bridgeworld, he pioneered professional online news journalism with African News24, an online news platform and YouTube channel focused on African content. As a lover of arts and culture, he established Stagecraft Films and Production to promote African heritage through stage and film, recently producing Ola Rotimi’s Kurunmi to critical acclaim in Lagos. He holds a Master of Arts in Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos, 2022; a Master of Business Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, 2010; and a Bachelor of Arts in Performing Art from the University of Ilorin, 1996. Mr. Akosile is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, and a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria. His professional excellence has earned him several recognitions, including the NIPR La Priga Award for Best Public Relations Personality of the Year 2022 and the University of Ilorin Distinguished Alumni Award.
